That slipped right past…
While talking with a friend, something interesting came up.
This year, 2026. We’re now 7mo into. Outside of my one retainer account that just ended, I have shot no client requested food for any restaurant. Every single session has been for an outside client. Its all been editorial work, lifestyle work and Wawa.
I don’t know how I didn’t even notice this. Maybe it’s a quality of life thing, or comfort that things are moving in a direction I’d like. I just keep thinking about how fiscally, we’ve doubled where we were last year and still have another 5mo to go and thats when things really take off. But somehow it happened without all the rigamarole of the years before. I’m grateful for it.
What if though…. What if I can keep this energy and still do a couple of restaurants a month on top? That would be it, it would be the life I wanted. I think its time to start that pivot I mentioned.
