New Year, New Blog.
I’ve been busy. Busy enough that I’ve had to remind myself every time I get tired that this is exactly what I wanted. I realized though that I just stopped writing around this time last year when I started on with this trend to stacked months.
So an update if you will.
I’m still shooting my last remaining retainer account, Post Haste in Fishtown. Chef Ari has been doing a killer job shaping the menu and keeping people coming in.
The Wawa account is going strong. We just shot two commercials, full day sessions and have two more in the works.
The Inquirer has booked me for a handful of events, I get to work with a really great team each time.
Adam Grace just published an article in the Four Seasons Hotel magazine featuring a shot of mine, a full page. From Char Pizza. This is in print and distributed worldwide to all 4S hotels and members.
AND!! I had my very first assignment for Philadelphia Magazine. It’s an article on Joey Baldino’s Bomb Bomb in South Philly. I’ve had photos published before. Digital and print. But this one is special because it’s the first time I was sent out by them. The digital article dropped. (Check my about page for the link) Hopefully it still went to print!
I also made a big move. I will always be a Fuji shooter. But my beloved GFX50R proved to be too slow on the commercial shoot with Wawa. It still held up fine and the work got done, but it could have been a lot smoother with better autofocus and FPS. Not something Im ever in need of usually. I’ve decided this Canon R5 is going to be my dedicated workhorse now.
I’m really looking into starting to build a team, as well as possibly getting myself a small studio as an office and work space. There’s still tons of other jobs ive taken not mentioned here. But these are my major highlights right now.
This year has kicked last years ass by a long shot, and kicks mine harder every week. But again. This is exactly what I wished for.
